Secondary school is an important step in every young person’s life and marks the beginning of the journey from childhood into young adulthood. We know that the transition from primary to secondary school can be fraught with anxieties and stresses; therefore, the year seven pastoral team will be here, trying our utmost to support your child as they navigate their way through their first year at secondary school.

As a pastoral team, our goal is to support every child in the year group, so they are happy and content at school ready to achieve their best. We want to set our standards high as early as possible with year seven and are keen to install the values of hard-work, kindness, tolerance and determination within our pupils.

Year seven marks an exciting opportunity for young people to experience a variety of new subjects that they may not have experienced at primary school; whether this be lessons such as Photography, 3D-design or even modern foreign languages. We firmly believe that these new experiences help our students at Purbrook Park become well-rounded and open-minded individuals, learning skills which will benefit them both at school and beyond into adult life.

The year seven pastoral team will always be there to help students in need, and we are relishing the opportunity to help guide your child through their first year at Purbrook Park.
