Performing Arts Assistants
At Purbrook Park the Dance, Music and Drama departments appoint a number of pupils to become Subject Captains and Performing Arts Assistants. Successful pupils help and support the performing arts department with running clubs, promoting activities and extending opportunities.

Holly Richards, Ella Groom, Katy Barnett, Chloe Borsley and Ellis Stott go to Purbrook Junior School with Mrs Smith every Wednesday after school to help her run their Rock Challenge. For Rock Challenge schools decides on a theme, reflecting the personalities, concerns, hopes, dreams and interests and create the choreography for their dance-drama performance. This is a very intense competition and one that will develop the girls leadership skills.
Purbrook Park have a number of musicians who want to develop their talents and help other students within the school. Currently we have extra-curricular clubs running after school with the performing arts assistants, George runs a keyboard club on a Wednesday week B after-school and Logan runs a recording club on a Wednesday after-school.
Outside of School
Ella Groom, Katy Barnett, Chloe Borsley and Ellis Stott are currently completing their Level 1 Dance leadership as part of their contemporary dance company at their Dance School in Portsmouth.
