Our Centenary 1924 - 2024

This year, we are delighted to be celebrating 100 years of excellent education at Purbrook Park School. Explore this new centenary section of our website to find out more about our upcoming centenary event.

Centenary Summer Fayre

We will be holding a Centenary Celebration with performances from our pupils with picnics, stalls, refreshments and a Summer Fayre on Saturday 6th July 2024 on our school field from 11.30am until 3.30pm, and we invite current and former pupils, along with friends and family, governors, trustees and local residents to come and join us - EVERYONE is Welcome!

We hope you enjoy our centenary celebrations!

Alumni School Tours - Now Fully Booked

We are holding tours of our school for any former pupils who wish to visit and re-ignite old memories and see how the school has grown and developed over the years.

Tours will be held between 11.00am and 1.30pm on Saturday 6th July, and we hope you will stay for the afternoon.  Our Centenary School tours are now fully subscribed, and we are unable to offer any further places on the day.

If you have not been able to secure a place on the alumni tours, you are still welcome to attend our Summer Fayre Centenary event and we will have designated meeting points for alumni on the school field. No booking is necessary - EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

100 Voices

Our one hundred years worth of alumni memories are rich and layered. In honour of our school’s centenary, we invite past pupils and former staff to share their favourite stories and photographs.

We want you to delve into our rich past by visiting this page and watch how it grows as we fill it with photos and memories from you all. But we need your help...

Help us reach 100!

If you have a story, memory or photographs that you would like to share, please contact: admin@purbrook.hants.sch.uk

School Events and Competitions

We will be running lots of competitions for our current pupils to get involved in, such as:

  • Designing a logo for the School Centenary - the design will be used on commemorative badges, lanyards, banners, posters, flags and on our school website and social media pages.
  • Creating a time capsule.
  • Planting a commemorative tree
  • We will be running special centenary linked competitions around each subject for pupils to get involved in.
  • Prize-giving assemblies.
  • PTFA Events, one each month leading up to the Centenary Summer Fayre on Saturday 6th July

Look out for more details via our school newsletters...

Fundraising Priorities for 2024

This year we are focussing our fundraising on developing our new Centenary Study Centre. Future plans include new Science laboratories and Sports facilities, including a new Multi-Gym.

In these financially constrained times, the school appreciates all forms of parental and community support and donations. If you would like to make a one-off and/or larger donation, or have any contact with businesses or funding organisations who might be interested in helping the school directly, please contact our Finance Team on; admin@purbrook.hants.sch.uk or call 02392 370351.

Regular donations

Help us to plan for the future with confidence.  If you would like to set up a regular donation, please contact our Finance Team on admin@purbrook.hants.sch.uk and they will be happy to help.

All contributions are completely confidential. However, big or small, they are all gratefully appreciated and will be put to good use. Your donations are crucial to sustaining the exceptional educational provision at the school and are a vital and valued form of funding.
