Enrichment Activities Extra Curricular
At Purbrook Park we offer a wide range of after school enrichment activities to enhance our pupils' experience of our school values 'Enjoy, Enrich, Excel'. The sessions are open to pupils of all abilities, although some are restricted to particular year groups. If you have any questions about a particular session, please contact the Lead Teacher for that subject.
Each half term the activities are reviewed and a new calendar will be published prior to the new activities commencing. The calendars are attached at the bottom of this page.
What types of extra-curricular enrichment activities do we offer?
Different sports clubs
Arts clubs e.g. drama, music, dance and art

How do we ensure that the extra-curricular enrichment activities are what the pupils want?
A questionnaire goes out to pupils.
- Suggestions are made through Pupil Voice.
How do we publicise extra-curricular enrichment activities?
There is information on the website.
Information is placed on posters to be shown at tutor time.
- There are opportunities to showcase activities undertaken in extra –curricular activities e.g. Choir performing in assembly.
- The calendars are published in the school newsletter.
How do we monitor attendance at extra-curricular enrichment activities?
- Registers are taken and stored in a central area to allow analysis and improvement.
How do we encourage/reward attendance at extra-curricular enrichment activities?
There are opportunities to perform/compete in school, and we award praise points for regular participation. House points and house competitions encourage attendance too.
