Purbrook Park School wins Dance Live Heat 2026 and heads to the Finals!

On Tuesday 3rd February, pupils from Purbrook Park School took to the stage to compete in Dance Live! They performed their piece "Two worlds, One secret" to a packed audience at Portsmouth Guildhall.

Amy Taylor, Lead Teacher of Performing Arts at Purbrook Park School said "Every single pupil has worked so hard and the whole performance is a reflection of their dedication and effort. The pupils were stunning on stage and brought the piece to life. Despite teaching them every day I am still so impressed by the incredible performance that they gave on stage".

Dance Live Judge Izzy Issacs commented "That was unreal. I loved how you write your own story; it was so brilliantly done. You should be so proud of yourselves".

A parent from another school competing at Dance Live sent an email to the Headteacher and everyone involved in Dance Live stating, “I was at Dance Live last night for another school. The Purbrook Park School performance was awesome. They should all be proud.”

In addition to First Place, Purbrook Park School were also awarded the Costume Award, and Audiences Choice Award. Everyone is extremely excited to return to compete in the Dance Live finals in April.
