It is expected that the uniform is 'worn well' with pride
 
Pupils are expected to wear blazers at all times unless given permission to remove them.
Top Coats - these to be worn only when outside during breaks and moving from lesson to lesson (outside).
Ties must be worn with a top button fastened and be of a reasonable length - meeting the pupil's waist.
Shirts must be tucked in.
 
Please note that if a pupil persistently fails to wear their uniform correctly, detentions will be given.

Plain White Shirt - standard collar / no logo
Black Trousers
Socks - not bright colours
 
Girls:
Blazer from National Schoolwear Centres only
School Tie from National Schoolwear Centres only
Plain White Shirt - standard collar / no logo

Black Trousers from National Schoolwear Centres only or

Black knee length skirt - straight with vent - from National Schoolwear Centres only

Plain Tights or socks - not bright colours (socks worn with skirt to be black or white)

 

Unfortunately due to the large number of pupils wearing inappropriate trousers over the last year we no longer offer a choice of trouser. We ask for your support in this matter. If there is a problem with the fitting of the National Schoolwear trousers then please contact us as soon as possible.

 
Shoes:

Black, low-heeled - not more than 6 cm

Shoes must come below the ankle and enclose the foot - NO BOOTS, SANDALS, TRAINERS, CANVAS SHOES, POINTED HEELS, etc.

(If for a medical reason it is necessary for trainers to be worn for a limited period, a doctor's letter is required and the trainers must be black ).

 
PE KIT - BOYS AND GIRLS:

White Polo Blue and Yellow Games Shirt
Gum shield (advisable)
Plain white, short-sleeved 'T' shirt or polo shirt
Black football shorts
A pair of white sports socks
A pair of long white football socks
A pair of football boots
(The PE Department will advise which term(s) these are required)
A pair of indoor trainers (with non-marking soles)

 
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING:
Some form of protective clothing is required for practical work. The departments concerned will give advice.
 
HAIR:

Hairstyles should not be unusual e.g. excessively short (Grade1), tram-line or zig zag,

Dyed unnatural colours. (Braiding is allowed providing no beads are attached). Pupils with long hair are advised to keep it well groomed and tied back when appropriate.

 
JEWELLERY:
Only a single plain stud may be worn in each ear, and a watch. No other jewellery or piercings are permitted ALL OTHER JEWELLERY WILL BE CONFISCATED.
 
MAKE-UP:
Make-up is defined as 'light cover up' and must be unobtrusive and is only allowed to be worn in Years 10 and 11.
 
PERSONAL EQUIPMENT:
It is expected that pupils will have a range of equipment i.e. pens, pencils, pencil crayons, rubber, ruler, calculator and a bag in which to carry files, books, etc. Pupils must not bring small 'handbags' into school. All bags should be able to take several A4 books and text books.
 
Pupil Planner:
Every pupil is issued with a 'Pupil Planner' and must take it to every lesson and assembly.
 
Mobile Phones:
Can only be used at breaks and after school. They must be switched off at all other times. Failure to do so will mean confiscation on the first occasion, and on the second occasion, a parent must collect the phone and it will not be permitted in school again.
 

All pupils should remember they should take care of their belongings and must not bring any valuables to School including electronic equipment such as MP3 players/Ipods.

The school cannot accept responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal property, particularly mobile phones or other expensive items that are not part of normal equipment.

ALL UNIFORM, PE KIT AND PERSONAL EQUIPMENT MUST BE NAMED (When lost property is found it enables the school to return it to the owners)

 
National Schoolwear Centres is located at 20/22 North Street , Havant (Next to Pampurred Pets)
 
Uniform Grant:

Parents are entitled to a uniform grant for pupils in Years 7, 9 and 10 if you are in receipt of:

•  Income Support
•  Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
•  Child Tax Credit (you are not entitled if you are in receipt of Working Tax Credit)

Application Forms are available from the school office

 

The Governing Body is mindful of the need to respect religious faith (see Equal Opportunities policy, available at reception) and therefore appropriate religious dress will be allowed but should conform to the school's uniform colour scheme. Please discuss the matter with the Headteacher.

Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) is a system designed to support teaching and learning in an educational setting. A VLE provides a collection of tools such as those for assessment, communication, uploading of content, return of students' work, peer assessment, administration of student groups, collecting and organizing student grades, questionnaires, tracking tools, etc.
